(2/4) 99: What\'s the plan on the turn?

I was planning on check/raising this beautiful flop when the button broke my heart.

Full Tilt Poker
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $2/$4
6 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, CO folds, Button raises, SB calls, Hero calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (10SB, 5 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 checks, Button checks.

Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5BB, 5 players)
SB checks, Hero...??? What's the plan here? Bet/fold? Bet and call until some scary [censored] shows up?

Sorry about the flop. Yeah, I'm betting the turn and going from there. Edit: bet/calling at this point. If scary big cards show up, re-evaluate.

I usually three-bet this preflop.

Have to bet the turn as played, but anything after that depends on the action in response to your bet... what happened next?

The hand was played very well so far, now bet/call the turn.

Check call and see what the river brings. U cant protect ur hand here with a bet since the flush draw is getting the odds and probably have atleast one over to beat ur pair. If button bets and Sb folds even a raise gives the potential flush draw good enough odds. Checkcall and se what the river brings.

3 betting this over 2 limpers an opener and an sb ccer is painful

Edit to add: If the board were a little less raggy I'd probably just donk the flop as there's a good chance button will check through all unimproved hands.

You have to make sure you are charging your opponents for their one card flush draws and overcards. You can't check here and hope someone bets their overs/one card fd. Most of the time here you are going to have the best hand and your bet is purely for value. No, you can't protect against them drawing to the flush but by checking you are offering them infinite odds as they don't have to pay to hit against your made hand.
