$2/$4 PLO:

This is my very first hand at the table. I decided the chances I was getting pushed around plus my double gutter made it worth just getting the money in here. Thoughts?

i would bet the flop like you did, but after the raise i would probably go ahead and give it up especially when i dont have a read. if you had the nfd in your hand, i get this in all day.

Just give this hand up. You are so often way behind.

Fold to the c/r. Calling and see if you can hit your non-heart-straight or a club on the turn (not saying that you should call a turn PSB if you hit the club of course) is better than pushing imo.

Also, if you call and a heart hits you might decide to represent it make him fold a set or 2 pair, but making that play without a read on the guy is probably not a good idea.

You most probably arent pushed around if you just came to the table and he will most likely not fold to your push.

With some history or a read of some kind your push might have been fine for sure.

Your play can't be all bad. You have a double gutter, back door flush draw in case your aces are no good.

Your opp could have a straight draw, flush draw or rundown hand.

Defending naked aces is rarely pretty, but you have more than that here.

First hand at a table against an unkown I defenitly pass. But if I had a read that villian was over agro I might make a stand here. The flush draw really hurts your hand though, I would like it alot more on a 3 suit board.

So is the general consensus that this play is OK (standard?) if the board was rainbow instead of 2-toned because you are less likely to be an underdog to a huge draw?
