2/5 live line check

Foxwoods 2/5 this Saturday.

I'm in the middle of a downswing, I want feedback on a few hands. My image is tight for both hands.

Hand 1. Effective stack is 500.

KQ off in MP2. MP1 opens for 20, I call, 3 others call.

Flop is K23r, MP1 checks, I bet 50, Button calls, everyone else folds.

(limited read on button is that he's a lagtard, and very aggro in checked pots)

Turn is another 3, I check, Button checks

River is an A (no FD).

I feel his range is overwhelmingly a weaker king (chop chop). I bet 80 to push him off the chop, he shoves, I fold. This is always a clear c/c, right?

Hand 2. Effective Stack is 500.

Hero has red QQ in SB. Five ppl limp, TAGish player makes it 20 on the Button, I raise to 80. Folds to button, who calls. During the preflop folding, someone accidentally exposes the Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

Flop is K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

I c/f to button's bet of 100. Standard?

Hand 1: I fold preflop. Depending on reads, I might vb the turn. I c/c the river.

Hand 2: [censored] spot. c/f is ok I guess.

Hand 1: Fold preflop. As played, c/c the river and let him bet his busted 54 or whatever. I am not b/f this at least since you are essentially turning your hand into a bluff. You get no value from Kx since you are chopping and he is never folding, you will get looked up/raised by better and occasionally get bluffed off the best hand.

Hand 2: c/f is fine.

Hand 2 is standard. Button has Kx or a hand like AcTx almost always here. Folding now prevents a difficult decision on the turn, which you will surely be facing. Next to no good card foir your hand can come off, so save yourself the trouble and muck now.

Hand 1, you are probably better off c/c'ing the river. However, your line isn't a bad one (although there is merit to the line of thinking that he is folding Kx almost never). As played, folding is good.

In hand one you can't ever rep an ace, and his range can be wder than a king (pocket pair >3, 45, etc). You save money vs 45 and get him to randomly bluff sometimes, so I like c/c better.

Hand two is standard

hand 1 ya i like c/c because if he is a lagtard like you say he will bluff the river with some random crap a lot of the time.

hand 2 sucks but is an easy fold

Re: 2/5 live line check

im betting the turn for value 10000000 % of the time
as played i would c/c river all day over betting...looks like he pushed you off the chop huh?

hm this is weird but i might actually bluff (cbet) this flop
i would also either raise more pre or just call

but the 2,5 game at my casino plays way different than most
if i was in vegas i would have made it 80-100 and c/f this flop

Induceable Lagtard + Scare Card = C/C

Re: 2/5 live line check

in hand 1, I was thinking about a c/c or even c/r on the turn. I was very surprised to see him check, as pot control didn't seem to be his strong suit. as for the river, ofc i wish i'd c/c, but at the time i gave him 0 credit for an A, and tried something different. My image was awfully tight, I thought that'd buy me this pot.

Hand 2 villain claimed to have AcJx, which would've been pretty much the best case scenario. Overall, glad i folded.
