Fold AA for one bet?

Villian- UTG- Asian lady who I know for a fact plays as big as $200-400 at commerce. For some reason (I think her husband was playing NL) she is at HG playing 30-60.

She's not bragging about the fact that she plays in the bigger game... but we ALL know that she is splashing around a lot because this game isn't big enough to get her juices going.

She plays lose preflop due to the dollar size of the game, but I've notices she plays what I consider to be excellent post flop strategy. Her name is Wendy Yee for those of you who play locally.

Anyways... she raises UTG... I've been playing solid...

I 3 bang with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

She Calls

Flop:

K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Check, Bet, C/R?

FOLD here for one bet?

Turn: Jack[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

she leads,

Fold HERE for one bet?

I call.

River is a rag, she leads:

Fold HERE for one bet?

Thoughts?

You beat AK, KQ, and random stuff vs someone who's playing in a game that's too small for them. I'd certainly call the river.

I'd raise the turn, too.

Re: Fold AA for one bet?

I would only fold this to the tightest of players post flop, or that player that rarely raises preflop, and you got 4 bet by them preflop (which isn't the case here). Given you say she plays very well postflop only makes a bigger case for calling down. Everything in your post makes me want to call down, not try to find a tight fold.

I am not looking for ways to fold one one against this player.

Call down yeah.

Re: Fold AA for one bet?

Just call her down. That's actually a pretty good turn card for you, because you just pulled ahead of KQ.

Folding anywhere would be a disaster.

First off, I'm calling down against your described opponent. You beat Kx, AQ and KQ by the turn. Raising the turn is unnecessary aggression as someone else suggested. It can only really get you into trouble.

Second thing you need to realize is that even if you knew for fact that you were outflopped [Let's suppose you were going against the biggest nit and you know he flopped a set on the flop check-raise], you are getting 10.5:1 on a gutshot and 2 As (41:6 --> 6.833:1), and you'll need to call here regardless of the opponent. Just from the tone of your post, it doesn't sound like you're thinking in terms of odds (just in terms of folding because you're beaten). You will need to take pot size and pot odds into consideration for each decision you make. Food for thought.

Re: Fold AA for one bet?

You're probably facing a straight or a set (JJ-QQ, as she didn¨'t cap it) here. I would have folded on the flop. Of course there is a slim chance for a split if she has ATs but it really is.. slim. A bet saved is a bet earned!
