5/10 BvB , I have a set
 

I have been at the table for about 70 hands & only have stats on Villain for those hands. He is running at 23/18/2.2

The table has been quite calm , no big pots have been played yet & I`m the only one that has made a 3bet preflop, I haven`t been to crazy though and am running at 20/16/3.2.

Villain had bet $30 pf the first time he raised my BB & I 3bet him ... he folded. Next orbit he made it $40 & I folded, now hes trying the $40 again.

6 Handed;

Hero has 9Ts

Villain (SB) bets $40 , Hero calls

Flop Td Tc Ks
Pot ( $80 )

Villain bets $65, Hero calls

Turn 3d
Pot ( $210 )

Villain checks, Hero bets $160, Villain raises to $450, Hero ???

I thought he would think this is the sort of flop that I might float him on so I bet more than 2/3 pot, is he now making a play on me ?

He has $620 behind, what to do ?

You could call if you think he'll bluff shove riv cuz board's not too drawy, or you can push right here. TBH folding doesn't even cross my mind. Possible he has like AJdd or AQdd, so I might just shove right here. Because you flatcalled flop and bet turn sorta big he could put u on JQ or float, maybe weak K. Those hands are your must likely range on flop IMO, so thats y I wuz thinking about calling (if you think he'll bluff shove riv with ~1/2 PSB).
I prob just shove tho in case this wuz like a hand like AQdd or AJdd.

Raise the flop. You also have trips, not a set, post title is misleading. You can either shove now or call and hope he does it for you on the river. I'm not sure that Villain can be raising a better T out of the SB, this may be hands like AdQd etc a lot of the time.

Ok maybe I`m a little dumb, I always thought a set was trips, it could be that I`m from Europe.

What would you say a set was then ?

A set would be if you have 99 in the pocket and the flop is K 9 4....

Set is a pocket pair where you hit a third on the board. Trips is one of your holecards, matching two on the board. Perhaps it's different terminology in Europe - people constantly get it incorrect in the US tho.

Ok I understand now,

Results ; I pushed AI, he called & had A4d , I won the pot

Just wondered if anyone would consider a fold in this situation, I don`t really like the option of calling.

Folding here would be beyond bad, and I think shoving and calling are both fine.
