Re: Sheep - Reveal Friday 30 November (Oz time)
Who's Steve Irwin?
These are tough, but in as usual. |
Re: Sheep - Reveal Friday 30 November (Oz time)
Mute,
Steve Irwin was famous as an Australian who wrestled with crocodiles on American animal shows. He died a couple years ago after being stung by a stingray in the heart. Where do you live? Somewhere cold and north, right? |
Re: Sheep - Reveal Friday 30 November (Oz time)

Re: Sheep - Reveal Friday 30 November (Oz time)
I finished with answers from 22 people. In hindsight a few of the questions were too easy, but none of them received unanimous answers. Here's the first half of the reveal.
Tell me if your score is wrong - it was generated using COUNTIF and could be wrong if there's a spelling mistake I missed. There were a couple of answers left blank - I scored these one point since you could have just put "sgsfdghdfhfghdg" and got a point. 1. A former Soviet republic (not including Russia) I wondered how many people would go the Borat route here. As it turns out, not enough. Weirdly, two people managed to independently choose the same country even though it was never a Soviet republic. Almost everyone else simply went for the large, well-known one. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...cation_UKR.png Ukraine: 15 Kazakhstan: 4 Romania: 2 Lithuania: 1 Standings: AlexM: 15 Bulletproof Monk: 15 clowntable: 15 drzen: 15 Dudd: 15 eurythmech: 15 jgunnip: 15 kevkev60614: 15 kokiri: 15 mustmuck: 15 mute: 15 RoundTower: 15 Siegmund: 15 Solanthos: 15 WesleyC: 15 BCarlisle: 3 jjp: 3 sixfour: 3 InvaderZ: 2 PokerSpiv: 2 mogwai316: 1 PunterSThompson: 1 2. A metal band excluding Metallica I was expecting Slayer or Megadeth to dominate here, but some people have loose definitions of metal bands. GNR are hard rock, dammit! Only about half the bands on this list qualify as metal imo. Re: Sheep - Reveal Friday 30 November (Oz time)
lol good 1-4, not so good 5-6
|
Re: Sheep - Reveal Friday 30 November (Oz time)
Hunt for Red October is clearly the right answer but I overthought it and figured people wouldn't associate it with Tom Clancy.
|
Re: Sheep - Reveal Friday 30 November (Oz time)
This is so sick. I can understand that Germany wasn't a good an answer as France. But that difference? Huge. Very surprising. But hey, caesar salad and Rammstein kinda shocked me too.
|
Re: Sheep - Reveal Friday 30 November (Oz time)
Btw I did 2 questions a year ago URSS country and Europe( though I did western europe instead of continental europe) Ukraine and France were the major winners as well.

Lol France should not count it's not a country it's a joke ;P |

I've never even heard of Rammstein

Re: Sheep - Reveal Friday 30 November (Oz time)
Holy crap!!! A perfect score so far?
That's insane. And nah, I wouldn't really consider GNR metal, per se... but it's a way more popular/"heard of" band than bands like Slayer and Megadeth, and it's the closest of the well-known bands to metal, especially considering the image. |
Re: Sheep - Reveal Friday 30 November (Oz time)
Crap, I have no idea why I put Lithuania instead of Ukraine.. almost perfect other than that so far.
Also, no votes for Pantera surprises me.. I had them down but switched it to Slayer right before I sent. |
