You think you are paying off a flush? I could easily see him A-J d. My question though is why check the turn?

He probably has a flush, but by checking the turn i think he could easily think you have a ten and he maybe is value betting JJ.

I think this hand was played fine. You did a nice job of controlling the pot size. If your set is the winner then I guess you should have bet the turn and/or raised the river but this is the more conservative line with this hand, which there is nothing wrong with.

Re: standard payoff with a set?

- raise flop a little more, like $32.

- betbetbet turn. you crush his range. checking here is majorly 0EV

technically.

keep betting the turn. check is weak. also you let him draw free to diamond flush (which i don't think he has)

How can you not think he has a flush? He makes a weak flop bet and then calls a decent sized raise from Hero. This has flush draw written all over it.

Now I'm really curious as to the results of this hand.

True, he could be on the flush draw, but i still feel like a check is too weak. He could have any number of non-flush draw holdings as well, no?

Bet the turn! bet it!
