Yeah I play it the same except I donk-call the shove and lose to 66. Looks like BB wanted to slowplay a set and got excited by your raise.

Or he has 97.

Probably a pretty disciplined fold.

you think villain is flat calling with a set/two pair vs SB lead?

I agree. Raise to maybe 5 on the flop.

Re: 25nl: AA

I dont agree with raising to 5$, BB could have 79 or 57 and hopes I just call or fold or maybe just raise small so he still gets good odds to call. The pot is 6$ when its my turn to act, maybe raising to 9$ is big but its better then raising to 5$ imo.And when he raises me or moves all in we know he is strong cuz he knows we are willing to play for stacks cuz we raised so much on the flop. I know this sounds kinda stupid or weird but its the way I was thinking when I played the hand.

I think you played it right but the point about the flop bet is you could've gotten the same result with maybe $2-$3 less. Pot is $6, raise it pot to $6 and give him 2:1 to call with a draw. Most of the time villain will still re-raise when he's got the goods and you get to save some blinds.
