Billy Koch
Some of you have probably already forgotten about this guy, but Brad Lidge may end up going down this route. The broken closer.
http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/image...koch_300gi.jpg Dude had a nice 4-year run saving 144 games, culminating with a Rolaids Reliever of the Year award in 2002 for Oakland whereupon he went 11-4 with 44SV in 93IP with a 3.27ERA. 2 years later the guy was out of baseball at age 29, after saving only 19 additional games for the White Sox and Marlins, combined. |

Re: Billy Koch
Holy S, I had no idea. WTF WHY DOESNT ESPN SHED LIGHT ON THIS KIND OF STUFF INSTEAD OF SHOVING BARRY DOWN OUR THROAT!?!?!
I thought he just broke...thanks for shedding light on this. I hope he gets better and gets back to baseball before it's too late. What a crappy way to have to end your career. |
Re: Billy Koch
Better than your entire fan base unjustly hating you.

Morgellons might not even be a real disease. wiki

Re: Billy Koch
Very interesting article. He was a solid closer with us and I'd always wondered why he just completely fell off the face of the earth since he had such wicked stuff.

Re: Billy Koch
That's pretty ugly. Koch was pretty dominant. Tough luck for the guy.

Re: Billy Koch
Koch was never as good as Lidge was. Didn't have the X-factor Lidge did.
