Villians Call: Yay or Nay?

I was in the rebuy tournament (after rebuy period, almost on second break) on the button and picked up two sixes in an unnopened pot. I raised 3xBB and BB repopped to 7xBB. Since I'm such a pro, I knew this guy was just trying to make a play because I raised on the button; I pushed (over half his stack) and he snap-calls with Kc10c and flops a 10 and busted me. Blinds were 150/300 A:25. I had about 14k and he had around 22K at start of hand.

Good call by him. He knew it was a race and there was equity in the pot. He must of been a pro as well.

[/ QUOTE ] Could you elaborate a little? Even if he put me on a pair, 10s+ are completely in my range, as is A10+ in which he would be in extremely bad shape for over half his stack.

What does this have to do with BBV? It's a question about an MTT and the strategy involved.

Basically you wrote a very long and hidden bad beat story.

If you want to talk about strategy, lay out the situation and hide results. I'm sure if you won the coin flip, you wouldn't be on here asking to critique this hand.

Sorry, I should have asked it more in question form; however, I am asking the question on whether it was a good call or not. This has nothing to do with me taking a beat. I'm trying to understand how this could possibly be a good call by him. If it was in fact, I'll reevaluate the situation. I would most definitely be wondering the answer to the question whether I took the beat or not, but since I did, I'm much more inclined to ask it.

i'm sorry - it looked like a bad beat post to me.

than please make a regular post, giving us more details
- what kind of tournament (buy in)
- stack sizes
- how many players remaining
- reads on players...

I think you will be hard pressed to find anyone on this forum who will advocate KT in his shoes a good call. without some serious reads of donkdome from the button.

So obviously it's a retarded call by KT. No one here can tell you what he was thinking about when he called. For all you know it was a mis-click.

This isn't a bad beat, it was a bad call into a coin flip.
