AQo - NL500 Live

Stacks:
BB 1500 - very aggressive, c-bets a lot even with air. has been seen to bluff raise on unraised flops twice. is solid player though. raises in position and attacks limpers.

Hero 500 - been playing very tight. not shown down a hand yet. have played one pot already with villain where i check raised his flop bet and he folded.

Action: Blinds 2 / 5
Preflop:
Hero is BTN with AQo. 2 Limpers, Hero raises to 30, sb folds, BB raises to 80, 2 folds, Hero calls
125 in the pot and 50 more to call so i'm getting 2.5:1
Flop: Pot 175
Q 2 2
BB checks, Hero ?

Comments on preflop play also welcome

I check behind also. He's likely to fire the turn, and yo car raise him up there.

lead flop w/ 125 or so, you could not have asked for a better flop. Villain is aggro and can have anything.

However, this may be a spot to not build a big pot, so if villain is with me after I bet, I probably shift into c/c mode...

I'd check behind, and call if he bets the turn and river.

Bascially, I think you want to get to the river while keeping the pot from getting to be stack-sized and while simultaneously giving away as little as possible to QQ-AA, and getting a bluff or two out of AK,AJ,TT-JJ.

What if he bets big enough that you know you'll end up all-in? What if he pots it each street flop-river (assuming rags hit board)?

Re: AQo - NL500 Live

We have the button, so there's no check/call option here. Checking eliminates a street of betting. Since the SPR is 2.4, there's really no way of avoiding the money going in if he wants it to. The only question is how to get him to put it in bad as often as possible. Checking behind probably achieves this. Calling this preflop and not committing to this flop is awful, IMO.

FWIW, I fold preflop when I get 3-bet.
