Late in Tilt 22r: 77 pf spot

Posted this in SSMTT but didn't get many responses so I thought I'd try here...

No reads on the OR. I've been tight. 18 pay and I think there are like around 24 left. I'm probably somewhere around 18th or a bit lower sorry can't remember exactly.

2 folds, MP1 raises to 3,000, Hero?

Villian active?

If so marginal shove. If not prob muck. If this was like CO/BTN I like a shove better but twice as many hands behind hurts your equity IMHO.

With 4 behind to act I probably fold this. I think your position is a more important factor than Villain's style.

My style would be to pretty much always push this. I think flat calling is better than folding if you follow up well.

I think this is definatly a threshhold. I push 88/99+ and feel okay mucking 77 here.

Really? It's fold > shove >>> call IMO. What do you mean by follow up well? How do you act if say SB re-raises to 12K and MP1 folds? How do you follow up if everyone folds and flop comes with no/1/2 overcards and MP1 bets/checks? Just too many possible scenarios for me to make the call.

88/99 have almost the same theoretical value here the guys left to act are still folding 9s and less and the PFR possible as well.

meh i think 99 is much better than 88 cause i think most people will call here with 88. even if he's folding 88 but calling 9s, 99 still is like 2% better than 88 equity-wise vs 99+,AQ+, which isn't that insignificant.

If Dan is folding then what the hell do you think the correct answer is.
