Monthly Rentals in Vegas

Planning on heading to vegas for about a month during the series this year. I have seen a few websites that offer "penthouses" on the stip for around 5k a month. in that range they tend to be 2br with a living room, kitchen, and dining room. I'm not averse to getting a place off the strip and maybe renting a car. although I'm only 21 so I'm not sure if I'll be able to do that myself in vegas.

Anybody have info on a good place to look for vacation rentals?

I'm not necesarrily looking for something dirt cheap. Thats the idea I get from the "it's very safe" comment. I just want a nice classy place to stay for 2 to 6 people that is cheaper than an expensive hotel room.

Look for houses for rent in Summerlin. Maybe craigslist or local paper online

I think standard car rental across the US is 24 as the minimum age, someone correct me if I am wrong.

Best place to find temporary housing is places like www.rent.com for MLS listings or google/craigs list for corporate apartments. There are a lot of furnished weekly rentals in stately houses in Henderson, but unless you have a ride you wont be saving money living in Henderson in the long run because taxi costs will be through the roof. Instead you should consider one of the many business suites just off the strip which also offer weekly rates - but it wont even be 1/10th as comfortable.

ya not being able to rent a car kind of limits me. i might be staying with some people over 24 so we will see. i may just bite the bullet and end up getting a suite on the strip or something. is it easy to get cabs and what not from the business suites off the stip that you talked about TT?

Yes. You may want to call the cab rather than wait of course.

Alamo will rent to those under 24, but they tack on a surcharge for it.
