Guideline for moving up limits in Stud???
 

What would be a good set of guidelines for beating a limit before moving up limits? I'm talking low limits, .50/1, 1/2 and 2/4, but for higher limits as well. Should you be beating the limit for 2,3,4,or 5BB/100 for 10,000, 50,000, 100,000, or 200,000 hands?

I just want to get some other opinions on beating a limit before moving up limits. I want to look at as bankroll isn't a issue. You have the bankroll and have been making regular withdrawals from beating the current limit.

What limits are you bankrolled for?
What limits do you believe you can beat?
What limits can you emotionally handle the variance at?

Pick the highest limit that appears on all three lists and play it. On a day-to-day basis, if you see a really good game slightly higher or lower, consider playing in it instead.

Putting in your time at a lower limit only matters inasmuch as it changes the answers to those three questions.

My thought on this has always been play as high as you can where the games look beatable to you. If you normally play and are comfortably BR'd for 3/6 and see some fish sitting at 5/10 it seems clear you should take a shot.
