Video poker question, please help
 

I was just reading The Basics of Winning Video Poker by J. Edward Allen and he says with a hand like

A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

you would break-up the pair of Queens and hold the A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

then I read American Mensa Guide to Casino Gambling, and their video poker section says to always hold the pair over three to a royal.

Which is correct??

What game is it? If its JoB 9/6 then the QQ is better EV = 7.6827 coins on 5 coins played as opposed to 6.9611 for JQA. If its a full pay deuces wild game its the JQA with an EV = 6.4431 as opposed to 2.8011 for the QQ.

I reread the books and the one that advices to discard the pair and hold the three to royal is for a JoB 8/5 machine. So IS this the correct strategy for that?
