Q about Stox\' line

I've been watching some of Stoxtrader's videos lately and a couple of times he's taking the following line: He defends the BB and flops bottom pair. He now CR and intends to check the turn. Why not follow up and bet the turn also? A lot of 6 outs hands will call the flop and fold the turn.

I can't find an example (so that we can get board texture also) right now but will post here if I stumble upon one.

Re: Q about Stox\' line

sometimes it is more valuable to induce a bluff from a 6 outer and avoid a turn raise from a strong hand than it is to get a 6 outer to fold.

ultimately this depends on villain's range and his proclivity to bet the turn and the river, mostly anyways.

I assume that we will need to take this line with other holdings than one pair also? We could mix some draws in there.
