Wireless Connection Issues

Bought and installed a Netgear wireless router a couple weeks ago, no issues until three days ago when my pokerstars connection will time out for 5-20 seconds roughly twice/hr. I'm sitting in the same part of my house as I always do. The router was the most expensive netgear router w/ 10x range and speed. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Mine did this for ~2 weeks, then it stopped. I didn't change anything. I filed it under "Computers just do weird things sometimes".

It could be interference. You can try changing the channel you're using. Also it might be a problem further upstream with you internet connection. Bottom line is that wireless connections do sometimes have connectivity issues. The closer to the AP you are the better, however if the money matters to you its advisable to physically wire yourself into the router.

It happened to me few times. I had to reset the router once, the other times, I disabled the radio (i.e. turned off the wireless receiver) and reconnected (i.e pretty much like resetting the receiver on your computer).
