Fish and Chips, Old Chap

I have all the ingredients except the beer for beer batter. Normal brown potatoes and some frozen whiting fillets.

Anyone have a good recipe and tips for the (highly) amateur cook?

Use oil that is several months old. Wrap in newspaper. Be working class. That's a good start.

I like fish and chips. Guess I'm just another another organ bank in Sector 7-G by nature.

Fry the fish at 350, fry the potatoes twice, first at 325 for the inside then at 375 to crisp the outside.
