Straightforward razz - check

Ok, so I am a bad boy and I am playing Razz again, this time in a HORSE rotation so I don't feel I am neccesarily the worst player.

This hand seems 100 % normal to me, but in the last thread I posted it seems I made huge mistakes in all of them.

Reads:

Haven't played a full rotation, but in stud8, hold em and omaha villain is just a huge donk. The type of bad player you usually only see in the B&M casinos. In stud8 he raised a pair of jacks into a 237 suited board, in hold em he played K3s out of the big blind when it was 4-bet preflop, in omaha8 he plays every hand. I assumed he was going to be a pretty easy target in Razz. He completed the bet when he was a bring-in with Q in one of the first hands.

So, the questions for me are:

1) Even if villain wasn't a huge donk, this would be an easy call for me once I've bet out, right? If so, why is UTG player folding? Does this mean he was on some kind of bluff? If the deuce had bet out, would this be an obvious call with my hand?

2) Should I possibly raise 4th?

3) Is river too thin to raise ?

reraise third the first time

since you didn't, 3 bet when it comes back

since you didn't do either, raise fourth

otherwise, you hit the 'bet' button correctly

Against almost any awful player I'd raise 4th. And against a lot of good players, also. I think everything is fine and I would never, ever check that river, UNLESS I thought he'd bluff if I did. Which, given the action on 6th, is possible, but, since you get to act last I'd bet every single time. I love making my hand and then bricking so I get to act last on 6th and 7th.

It's possible just calling 4th made him bet 6th, but honestly from your description I think he was betting there no matter what. And given 7th st action I assume he was bluffing.

[/ QUOTE ] Yes. Many quite good players in trnys will complete/call with any two cards <6 as long as one shows. Then, they just hope for a good flop. But with two more players and a raise, they steal away. Once you see them do this, you know they will fold any brick on 4th against your good catch if they respect your play. Then you can steal from them, if they don't catch you at it. Beware this player when he raises on 3rd, he probably has A23. He will also stay and stay if he gets a good draw, you cannot bluff a guy like this off a hand unless he thinks you are the Dan Harrington of Razz.
