5/5 JJ underpair push.

I had just got off a 5/10 PLO table, and as a result probably played this hand more aggressively than I normally would've.

Live 5/5 with 9 players. Hero just bought in for $500, villain covers.

I have history with villain, and he's a fairly good and aggressive player. He plays for a living.

MP raises to $20, MP+1 calls, Villain calls in the CO, I raise to $100 on the button with JJ.

MP calls, Villain calls.

Flop is A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9x.

At this point, I'm fairly sure villain doesn't have AK because he squeezes the majority of the time, especially from the CO. I put him on AQs, some sort of draw, or even TT-KK.

Mp checks, villain leads for $100. Mp folds out of turn, so the pot is HU. I push for $400 total.

I'm fairly sure he folds out most Ax, except for AK and I'd be very surprised if he looks me up with AQ.

are you trying to bluff him off an A or do you think you have him beat?

This is what makes this hand interesting. I think it's a bit of both. I'm most definitely trying to bluff him off of QQ-KK/AT-AQ, but I wouldn't be surprised to get called by some sort of draw.

The way I was looking at it at the time was that there was $300 in the middle going to the flop, and I've got $400 behind. Getting decent odds anyway you look at it, so I don't have to be right, or even get him to fold all that often for it to be very profitable.

The criteria for betting are to get a weaker hand to call, a better hand to fold, and to induce draws to make the most incorrect call possible. Usually when I bet, I usually have a reason for it but in this situation it's right on the line.

I doubt he ever shows up with QQ/KK. I guess this is ok, but I can't say I like it. Folding seems bad, and if you really think he folds AQ than this is obviously best.

Obviously this isn't standard, and villain and I have a lot of history.

This is the same villain:

He's got a lot of respect for my game. I pushed, and he thought about 2 minutes before calling me with middle set. He was set-mining against MP who had a deeper stack, and flopped it against me. I had him convinced that I had three aces, but obviously nobody is dumb enough to fold middle set to a PSB.

Anyway, I'm sure he mucks AT-AQ.
