One year anniversary of the UIGEA

Just curious to hear other people's opinions. Has the ban personally affected you? Has it affected online poker as much as you thought it would? Or has online poker not changed that much from years past. I look forward to hearing all of your responses, thanks.

It basically killed my bonus whoring, which sucks. Used to pull in close to 1k/month in just bonuses which is alot of money for a small stakes player like myself who sucks at poker.

I'm outside US.
It's made no difference other than that I wouldn't dream of playing cash games at Stars,UB,FTP etc..

Also the absence of the young US pros at peak-time on the Euro sites is noticeable and much appreciated...

For me UB, FT, AP are still ok w.r.t. fish population. So no big change.

Only other difference I found as a non-American is it KILLED the Crypto games. I don't know why, but the GBP games were fantastic before the UIGEA, then just disappeared and/or became super tight afterwards.

Re: One year anniversary of the UIGEA

yeah i made $4700 online last year playing 8-14 hrs a day, and this year i made only about $1400 so far online this year playing the same amount of hours.

however i was offline for 2 months on vacation playing live games, and in about 4 weeks i was up about $4000 playing live. why anyone who lives near a casino and has a car unlike me would play online instead of live i cant imagine.
only nice thing about playing online, is u can play 2-3 games at once, dont have to tip the dealer, (a huge PLUS), and can play the games u like such as NL omaha hilo and 5 card draw instead of being forced to play a NO skill game of bingo called texas holdem.

Do you mean 8-14 hrs a week? If its a day you would make much more money by simply taking a minimum wage job.

The only change I've seen personally is how much harder it is to get money in or out since Neteller is gone. Damn shame if you ask me.
