My thoughts exactly.

If true, good luck in life. Sure you will go on to do better things after poker anyway (whenever that may be)

I read it. The guy is obviously very smart, is successfull, and has figured out life at the same time.

And... he is really 23? I think I found a new hero.

GL Bryce, though I call BS. Just become half as expert at 6-max PLO as you are at HU LHE and double your BR in 2 years.

how can anyone have "too much" money?

Re: The Bryce quits poker, \"I have too much money\"

too much money for it to make sense to still play poker.

yeah I might quit too if I were him. 3 million can go a very long ways if you live in a place where the cost of living isn't too high and you invest well.

Re: The Bryce quits poker, \"I have too much money\"

If he's that good, he should stay in it - sure, take a break, but if he enjoys poker and has money to support himself, how many people would do anything for that kind of life? And he can coach. Fly all over the world coaching rich people. Much of making a living as a "legit" adult is equally unfulfilling and even embarrassing. Nothing wrong at all with playing poker for a living (if you can do that successfully). To put it in perspective, there are plenty of rich people who got that way in ways that they'd rather you didn't know about. Bryce, on the other hand, can be proud of his skill, and boast about it - it's really quite interesting.

I would bet 10k he's making this post to retire his accounts to start a new one to start getting action from regs again.

I've begun liquidating the majority of my bankroll with the intention of wrapping things up with playing poker as a source of income

Doesn't mean that much IMO. To me, it's just saying he'll play a lot less and basically take himself off "depending" on his poker playing abilities. I'd say a good number of big-time winners don't depend on their playing so much anymore for sustaining their lifestyles. But then there are the big spenders out there...

I'd put it all on red and then if I win, I got $6 million. Then you have twice what you have to start from with.
