Meh, he prob posts in the CO to get the action in the video going quicker. Then he misreads a stat and corrects himself. Then he makes an assumption about play of an unknown based on what he has.

Seemed like a solid vid from what I saw.

What I think is really great about videos with commentary is that you get to hear basically exactly what good players are thinking. Naturally some people will approach the game differently, but rather than being critical perhaps you could be more open-minded and learn more from the video. I think you get a lot out of "hearing the player's thoughts," even if they are expressed in a way that is unfamiliar/sloppy to you.

It's not easy to explain yourself perfectly when you're making a video on the fly and still trying to concentrate on the hand. But if you focus on his points and are less nit-picky you'll learn a lot. He is basically thinking out loud for you, what a great way to get insight into how he plays, you get to experience exactly how he analyzes hands.

Are you saying his commentary is up to par with Lego Poker standards?

Yes. We've received a lot of positive feedback on the commentary from all of our videos so far. Thank you for your input though.

Whilst his vid didnt make me instantly sign up, its one of the reasons im going to buy a sub at some point in the next couple weeks.

I dont want to see someone nit it up and do nothing spectacular. Im not gonna claim i understood half of the moves he pulled off, but im not afraid of what i dont understand.

Also - as far as commentry goes, virtually no one is ever really good the first time they do vids like this - knowing something and explaining something is very different. Its one of the reasons why many guest pros get hated on at Cardrunners (and id imagine other sites).

I liked it.

Rationalizing that I should buy a membership is tough to do right now though..

I just watched MYNAMEIZGREG's sample $10/$20 video, and I must say it was fantastic. Non-stop commentary throughout the entire video, as well as an extremely solid analysis of the hands and table dynamics. It's probably in my top 15 instructional videos I've watched, and I've watched like 40% of the videos on CardRunners.

Since it's free, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes money.
