I think EM2 views me as a tight/weak opponent, so I decide to float because a) I know he is capable of raising a wide range, b) He will probably bet this flop 100% of the time regardless of his hand, and c) I will use my tight image to represent AQ+ on this scary flop by flat calling, and d) I sensed weakness when he bet the flop.

On the turn is where I think I made a mistake. I decided to check behind, because if I had AQ I would check behind. If I sensed weakness, I supposed I should have bet the turn. If I bet the turn and get called, then I would have to shove most rivers right?

On the river his bet commits over half his stack...

Yeah. I see I need to bet the turn if I am repping AQ now.

d) I sensed weakness when he bet the flop.

just cause? did his lip quiver? you just said hed bet every flop...

floating is prob -ev here because even if youre ahead of his flop betting range, its probably not enough to make up for the times he wins the pot when you have the best hand... but whatever its not that bad and hsould be read and game dependent...

you cant call riv profitably which is part of the problem of the flop...

also to the guy who asked why youd check aq on the turn... you gotta be joking if you bet aq all the time there...

What were you trying to do here?? I mean if your going to bluff you need to bet the turn. I mean I guess you can try to bluff the KQ/QQ-TT's out but its a marginal play at best as you also run into a bunch of Ax that wont fold.

"I think EM2 views me as a tight/weak opponent"

Which is exactly why you should bet the turn.....Floating here once in a while is fine if you feel EM2 is picking on you.
