200nl, Ks in strange situation facing river push
villain is 22/11/3.7 over 400 hands
river AF = 7.5 he is one of regulars in the game, but not a very good one I find his raise to 6 very strange with a limper in front, somehow I immediately thought about As given that, can I play any differently before river? Re: 200nl, Ks in strange situation facing river push
dont wanna sound like a [censored], but putting somebody immediately on aces pre is not gonna help.
Just go broke and be glad with it. Meaning, bet the turn and get it in. if this guy is a reg, he is prolly very, very bad if he had AA here. |
Re: 200nl, Ks in strange situation facing river push
what was your reasoning for checking the turn?

Re: 200nl, Ks in strange situation facing river push
If you really think he has aces then why bet the flop in the first place? just check it down and fold to any bets.

Re: 200nl, Ks in strange situation facing river push
$35 on the flop, shove turn.

Re: 200nl, Ks in strange situation facing river push
The $6 raise pf makes me think low to mid pocket pair. So I'd fold the river. And bet the turn.

result:
I thought for a while and called, I just couldn't fold Ks here no matter how strange the situation is.. I was about to write a long note about this hand about how villain plays As.. well.. he showed ATs, I can never understand his line there, every street was strange to me |
Re: 200nl, Ks in strange situation facing river push
The turn no-bet was just plain bad. If you see aces everywhere than you just can't play well. Are you going to fold every board you don't dominate with top set etc.. (and as for this board KK is a domination). If you learned anything just bet the turn on this, not doing this is -EV all the way.
