Florida Results since 7/1

Just curious what everyone's regular card room is in Florida and what kind of stats they have since 7/1

Mine PBKC for Tourneys
and Isle Casino for Cash

Cash game 25 sessions
14 losing
11 winning
-794 to date
All played at 1-2 NL

Variance is all over the chart in the small sample size

Re: Florida Results since 7/1

I will play along:

51 Sessions
38 positive
11 Negative
2 Break even
+6993

This is since I started playing regularly approx. 9/01/07
I play at the Hard Rock in Hollywood. I mostly play 1-2 NL with the occassional 2/5 thrown in.

I have also played in the 140 and 250 SNG's when they ran a promotion where the Hard Rock gave an extra 140 chip to the 4th place finisher.

I netted just about 20k at 5/10 over about 200 hours. Almost all of my profit was from staying very long and getting a stack to play with and finding good tables.

100 max in every game, even in limit.

I played 1/2 for the first time last week at Hard Rock Hollywood for +280.

any chance that florida will increase the $100 max buyin rules for cash games?kinda silly to play 2/5 with $100 max buyin.

Monticello
about 50 sessions
+$3680 (I partition my poker BR in a different bank acct, not logging $$$ per session, although I probably should)

On this note, I don't want the IRS coming after me--anyone have experience with the best way to deal with any winnings on my taxes?

Yes. Pay your taxes, then the IRS won't bother you too much. There are a number of tax threads in the Legislation forum.

Re: Florida Results since 7/1

Started playing in Flagler's about a month ago. 4 sessions, almost all at 5/10 NL (some sessions supershort, like an hour), +800 and change.

Played a couple sessions at Mik earlier, one wasted 1/2 limit with a non-playing friend, (+10), one high -EV Donk n' go. I won it, +250 or something.

Anyone here a reg at Flagler's? I was there Tuesday night, the kid wearing a white Argentina jersey and an ipod in one ear. (I was singing about half the time, LOL I am annoying, I love live poker).

Sad....
I guess I'm the only one willing to admit I have more losing sessions than winning....Maybe I'm a worse player than I thought......

Where do you play? Keep in mind that all of these statistics are derived from hopelessly small samples.

I'll be at HHR this weekend. Might make an appearance at Flagler if I have the time, but I'm staying in Southbeach so its gotta compete with the beach and the clubs so I'm not sure. I'm your typical non-college internet player: overweight white guy, I'm balding and have side burns.

Any 2+2ers please say hi if you spot me.

I heard that there aren't as many fish at JCKC. Seriously if you can't beat 1/2 in some Florida cardrooms then you can't beat 10NL online.

Hey Kurt, I'll be at Flagler's Friday and Saturday nights. (Lol nosocialifaments). I'll be wearing a soccer jersey, either Barcelona with the name "Messi" on the back, or Argentina. (Blue and white).

I'll be the youngest kid playing 5/10 (er, youngest in the whole casino), and I'll have an ipod in one ear. Say hi if you see me.

There was plenty of fish the first two months. But there is not the population here like there is in the rest of the state. So when the fish went broke there was not anymore to replace them. Right now almost everyone there is a regular. The game is tougher than it was July but it is still plenty beatable. Hopefully new semesters will bring new fish and liven up the room a bit.

Hey Guys. I'm moving to Gainesville in January for work. Is the Tampa casino the closest/best option for me? Also, I want to make sure I have this odd Florida $ limit thing correct. The most I can buyin for is $100. If I go bust, I get one additional $100 buyin and then that's it? Thanks.

There is a cardroom in Jasper that is much closer then Tampa. As for the buyins the max is $100 but you can buyin as many times as you want (feel free to buyin 12-15 times a night, we like that here) Most rooms will let you top off your stack if you get below a certain point ($60 where I play.)
