Anyone used MegaBus in the United States?
Has anyone used MegaBus in the United States? MegaBus is a low priced bus service in the Midwest. Are the customers more of business, family, party types or a general mix? Can you bring drinks and snacks? How about alcohol? I checked the website but it was unclear. Thank you for any information you can provide.

Re: Anyone used MegaBus in the United States?
Is this a service similar to Greyhound?

Probably similar to Greyhound but the prices can be much cheaper I think and the destinations are very limited. I have seen trips from St Louis to Chicago for I think around $5.

i've used it a few times. round trips are as low as 3 dollars. you can bring food and such on the bus. i'm not sure about alcohol though. the route that i take goes from chicago to pittsburgh and stops in toledo and cleveland.

3 bucks? Does the bus have an engine or does everyone have to push it?

Re: Anyone used MegaBus in the United States?
as more tickets are sold, the prices go up. you want to get your tickets about a 3-4 weeks in advance. i've bought tickets the night before though for 15 dollars one way.

In my experience alcohol is allowed everywhere as long as you don't tell anyone.
