100NL: Stacking off with TPNK in blind war

Villian is 45/15/3.5. He seems over-aggro in the blinds and doesn't let get of hands much. I think he's pushed me off my big blind once or twice before which is fairly unusual for me. I think I raise bluffed at least once on this table and showed down.

I was probably around 22/20/6ish on this table but hard to say. This guy seemed to be playing back as well. Is this too light, or does he regularly turn up with air here?

fold to the reraise. there are much better spots to get in against this guy.

why not just fold the flop then? srsly I hate answers like that...

its a cash game I don't care if I bust.

Nutz,

I think his 4-bet on the flop is better than a pair of 9s. You're only beating a bluff here. He can easily have a 9 better kicker, set, over pair. I think you can fold to his 4-bet.

by "there are much better spots to get in against this guy," i mean that continuing with 97 on a 963 flop facing a bet/3bet is -ev. do you think he is 3bet/folding this flop very often? do you expect him to show up with a weaker hand than top pair, 7 kicker?

if he's over-aggro in the blinds and goes to the felt often, trap with him with a big pair. play speculative hands and felt with a strong draw or a made hand. you know he's not gonna fold his hand, so put him on a range of hands you expect him to play this way. figure out your pot odds and see if you have enough equity to continue.

i don't think felting 97s in this spot is +ev against a typical opponent i play against. but you've played with the opponent and feel otherwise. what range of hands do you expect him to play this way?

I would probably just call the flop against this donk.

We have top pair with a chance to improve on the turn with backdoor straight and flush.

why is calldown better? And do you call turn bets when a jack/q/k/A hit?

The reason I'm raising here is for value because I think I have the best hand often+because my hand is a fairly weak made hand. If he has two overs, which he regularly does, then he's going to hit 12% of the time on the turn, and %24 of the time by the river. Basically, I'm only a 2.5-1 favourite over whiffed overs.

- and in case you didn't notice, I'm overaggro in the blinds. Also, yeti theorem on flop?
