100nl: is shoving > calling?

Just sat down so no reads on Villain who doesn't seem that good anyway.

Poker Stars, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

Hero (CO): $100
BTN: $29.45
SB: $53.20
BB: $104.10
UTG: $84.35
MP: $60.35

Pre-Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (CO)
UTG calls $1, MP calls $1, <font color="red">Hero raises to $6</font>, 4 folds, MP calls $5

Flop: ($14.50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">MP bets $4</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $18</font>, MP calls $14

Turn: ($50.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">MP bets $6</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $76 and is All-In</font>

I figure that I must have around 27% equity on the hand and if he calls I surely break even and when he folds Ill profit.

But with his stack size compared to the pot (he only has $30 left) I'm not sure if he'll fold even though hes showing weakness. However hes giving me GREAT odds if I just call. If I call and J comes on the river I might get confused as to what to do.

Given all the factors, is shoving better than calling?

Maybe if he bet a normal amount, but you're getting direct odds.

Dude, just calling is so much more +EV than shoving, even if that's EV too.

Shoving is atrocious.
Raising flop is OK tho, since tons of donks wil small donk/fold these flops.
But once he CALLS your flop raise and then donks turn again + his stack size = you are getting called 100%

Just call the turn.

Re: 100nl: is shoving > calling?

It's only $30 back to him (as that's what he had left), so you're getting called for sure. Also, you have huge pot odds to hit, so why not take them? If there is no fold equity, you're depriving yourself of the odds to catch, as you are laying yourself worse odds (since he won't fold anyway). Dang, if you hit and he does have nothing, he'll likely make an all in bluff anyway, given his aggression here. He does have something and will call, however.
