The Dems want to raise capital gains rates and change the dividends tax rates back to what they were. So the not only will the incentive to buy stocks be lessened, but there will be less money to invest as well. There will be less incentive for companies to pay dividends, and less money left over by dividend receivers to reinvest.

The one that doesn't want to continue to spend $7 or $8 billion per month keeping troops in Iraq on top of whatever you think is the monetary cost of lost lives & health, plus the value of the associated negative branding of the US internationally.

Yeah, that's really had a killer effect on the stock market the last few years.

This really is a goofy question
I believe over the last many decades the market has done better while democrats where in power, but that doesn't mean there is a causal relationship there....
If you want more $$ to the rich and no online poker -> go republican
If you want justice for all and a chance at online poker -> go democrats

But then there is one more thing to consider.... the market is said to have done best when no one parts controls presidency, house and senate...... sort of the stalemate idea, where noone can screw things up

best candidate to vote for is whoever promises to cut deficit and pay down the US debt, like clinton did in '92-'00.

bond markets FTW.

War is good for stocks and the economy.

The US GDP grew an average of 25% each year during 1943-1945
Germany also. WWII actually lifted a recession
