PLO beginner: Good chase, or a complete donk?
Trying to learn to play PLO. Was in decent shape in this $10 tourney, about sixth with 20 players left, top 5 pay. And then this hand got me. I knew what he was betting, but I just had so many outs I couldn't let it go:

After the flop:
6d4h8cAh 49.88% Wins: 406 Ties: 6 5s9d3h4s 50.12% Wins: 408 Ties: 6 This is a fantastic hand simulator for PLO. Other hand simulators (POL8, HE, etc) are on top of the page http://www.propokertools.com/simulat...tionEditor.jsp |
Re: PLO beginner: Good chase, or a complete donk?
I'd just like to add that since you are sure you're not ahead after the turn, I'd c-c and hope to hit on the river, since you have so little money left he is committed while you can still fold and hope for a glorious comeback. It's probably statistically correct to shove the turn, but since you are so close to the bubble, if I were in your shoes I would play more conservatively. But that's just me and I suck balls at tourney poker so take it with a grain of salt.

If you are going to play that hand against the BB, please come in for a raise. Unless hes retarded, hes not going to play his hand to a raise (results oriented obviously). Apart from that, I go broke with your hand everytime. I'm awesome at missing non-stop with nuclear draws.
