Here's the deal. If you are someone we recognize as a decent poster, we'll add you if you post here. If you are someone who has a really good thread idea, we'll add you if you post it here. If you are someone who is a regular poster in EDF, we'll add you if you post here.

If we don't recognize you (tons of new people w/ tons of posts in the forums now who I've never heard of), then just start making posts in EDF to show that you're not an idiot, then post in this thread after a while. Earl Sleek - not very familiar with you as a poster, but you've been a participant here and you have a suggestion that people like, so post away!

That is me El D. Brooks Brothers, Boardroom, and Home Theatre questions are my specialty, but I will probably do an ask me about being a college football player once next fall is over and I am no longer a student athlete and having to worry about getting in trouble for it somehow.

I've got a TR from my volunteer work in Panama I might post here or OOT if I ever get around to finishing it. I was thinking of doing a camping and cooking thread too since both seem to be somewhat popular here.

I don't start very many threads, and at the moment don't have a decent idea for one, but i'd like to be added to the list for the future. My real only notable thread that i've started was Ask Layzie About Heroin Addiction/Doing Time In Prison which was fairly well recieved.

Thanks. I got a ton a positive feedback and questions through PM's and was glad to help out a bunch of people, some more than others. My box is still open to anyone with questions or in need of advice about drug use.

Also, I have a thread idea if that helps. I would like to discuss the Why Socialism article by Albert Einstein. I imagine that in a crowd like this people have a lot of respect for Einstein, but I don't think that too many are socialists. Am I right?

I would like to be on the list pretty much for reasons already posted: having the option if an idea strikes me, and so on. I'm really more a commenter than OP'er anyway.

Cool. The idea is not to feel pressured to have to start any great threads or anything. Nor is the idea that there's some "elitist poster group" or anything. It's simply to have people get a basic concept of the vibe of this forum and the type of posts/threads people generally enjoy before being put on the thread starter list. If things go as intended, that allows this forum to grow while maintaining a high signal:noise ratio.
