I have found that the Indian casinos tend to have a bunch of nitty rules like requiring all in players to table their hands - in a cash game, and they do everything possible to try and void a BBJ. If you even turn your cards up after everyone is all in you will disqualify a BBJ. Now, I honestly haven't seen this happen. I was told this by dealers at 3 different rooms.

IMO, the only reason to go to an Indian room unless you live nearby is if you want to play blackjack or slots.

For 1/2 - 3/5 try The Bike, Commerce, or HP.

I don't understand all the nitiness about structure of LA's NL games.

The biggest profit will come from the mistakes of your opponents, not your skill. Los Angeles players are donkeys of first order. They suck really bad at poker.

Structure ought not be the primary concern if the players are horrible enough IMO. I'd rather play at a table full of drooling knuckle draggers than at a table full of weak-tights.

player club in ventura has a highrollers game, but nothing you cant find in LA

I played the 3/5 NL at Morongo about a year ago and will say that it was the JUCIEST game I've ever played in. Ever.

Almost worth the drive.

Gotta agree here. Rick Niebolo(sp?) has also made a few posts explaining why these structures are more beneficial to the games as a whole as well.

I think most would agree that, despite the structures, the games are much better than the weak-tight and loose-passive games found in most Vegas casinos, which have a "better" structure. With all the rebuying that goes on in L.A. though, there are usually quite a few large stacks at the table after a while, and usually the people with those stacks have no idea how to play deep.

Also, if you do head to Indian Casinos, you might wanna check out San Manuel too. Not quite as far a drive as Morongo.

Low stakes may be very difficult to beat relative to Vegas because of the $4-$6 drop every hand regardless of pot size. All of the 2/5 and 3/5 blind NL games are good. Commerce & Bike are the two top notch casinos to play at and that attract money. Hawaiian Gardens and Hustler occasionally have good games. I wouldn't both with Hollywood Park, Crystral Park, Etc. The indian casino games tend to be rock gardens compared to LA with the exception of Morongo because it is 18+. San Diego indian casinos tend to have good games.

$2/5 blind NL games that are on the loose side play as big as a $15-30 LHE game. I don't hear anyone claiming $15-30 with a $5 drop is unbeatable due to rake.
