A straight on the flop - I folded it. ($5)

And I don't even think villain flopped a flush, I think it was a draw. I was just feeling really unlucky - lots of bad beats lately.

A few hands later the second hand happened - same villain. Then similar hands later. Then the tilt set in. I felt so beat down. I don't think I made any bad decisions because of it though. I just steamed.

How bad is this? (This is the bubble)

hand 1 i fold pf. picking up 150 chips wont change much.
hand 2 i fold the flop.

Re: A straight on the flop - I folded it. ($5)

First hand is pretty terrible, there is no reason to ever fold this.

Second hand is dependent on reads. I probably fold vs. an unknown since your stack is still in decent shape, but it's a tough call.

in a $5 come on, snapcalls. Mass overbets do not have you beat.

snapplecall both, if it was L1 to the same action we have a decision, itm both are very easy calls

1 is a fist pump snap call.

2 is closer, but if he has minthreebet pre earlier I would snap call.

1>> There is no way a made flush pushes on that board. And you beat pretty much everything else. And if he has KQ, GLNHWP, start a new. I think the most likely holding is two pair or a pair with a flushdraw.

2>> VERY read-dependent. I agree with pudge - if he has min-raised preflop with anything else than QQ+ earlier (or often enough to make it likely he is re-raising wider) , I'm not laying this down.

Ha. Maybe I was already on tilt from the previous bad beats and this was the result.

It was a 6 seat - this was the bubble.

The first hand is not a snapcall for me. I might lay this down as well if villian is decent, but the overbet looks weird!

In the second hand I will most likely call. His range is not as tight, as some people might think and I you are ITM and should be using these +EV to gain chips. If he would have a hand which beats you I doubt he would overbet the flop. Draws and weak Aces or Kings are more likely imo.

First hand is so bad, that is a total instacall and in fact I am happy he openshoved because a lot of people will play top pair no diamond that way figuring they protect their hand.
2nd hand is actually close, depends on how the guy plays.

Hand 1- I like the fold here, you do not have much invested and your preflop bet was more suited for heads-up action with those cards.
Hand 2- I think you played in cautious(not bad). I probably call given the fact that he has seen you fold preflop raising hands to scary flops. My read is that he views this flop as scary and you will fold to a big bet. Push Back.

Have idiots learned how to value-shove monsters to look weak? Last I checked they hadn't. Also, you're the big stack in both hands, which makes you SNAPCALL slightly more forcefully than you would if they had you covered.

I call both pretty easily. Villians who do this repeatedly do not usually have monsters every time. They have draws or weak hands that are scared.

1. SOOOOOOOOOOOO obv draw. Instacall, or instacall faster.
2. Call. If he has 2p, why he just open shoving?

I'm unhappy about the second and possibly fold. I am loving the first so much I phone my mum to tell her that Jeezus sent me an idiot.

Because he thinks your most likely hand is ace-something and you will call. It would depend for me on whether he has threebet before, but minreraises say "big hand" to me.

Fold preflop in the first one, but as played call and celebrate.

Second one is close, but I probably call because it is a $5.
