i like em.
slick, yet simple. |
Re: Home Poker Tour Nevada Jacks Chips
How much does a set like that go for, and how much extra would it be to line up the edge spots? Thanks.

Re: Home Poker Tour Nevada Jacks Chips
stevea, I hate to do this to you.... but I'm not a fan.
They look too much like the cheap slug chips, for a (custom?) set. sorry- hope that doesn't detract from your enjoyment. |

and how much extra would it be to line up the edge spots? Thanks. [/ QUOTE ] iirc, the ceramic chip mftrs specifically say that you CAN'T line up the edge spots with the ones on the chip faces. Something to do with the manufacturing process. This is one reason why I won't go ceramic when/if I ever do a big-time customized set of chips.... after I hit the lottery. |

[/ QUOTE ] That is SO much better, it would be worth the expense... if you could even get me to buy ceramic chips, that is. I'm surprised that it costs $150 to do this, but whatever. Thanks for the info- I was always surprised that they wouldn't line them up. |

I find that I'm more of a fan of simple/not fancy looking chips with traditional colors...none of my chips are fancy looking: www.homepokertour.com/graphics/cash_set.jpg www.homepokertour.com/graphics/bdc_chips2.jpg When I had the ceramics designed, I was looking for something along the lines of the 2006 WSOP chips, but designed for HPT. Perhaps I should re-consider making them fancier as the majority of people probably don't think like me... |
