10NL - Facing min-raise on river

No real reads on villain except for he is a shortstacking idiot who called an all-in with AJo against me earlier. I know I could just fold PF but I'm not worried about that play so I dont want to see, "fold PF yada yada." Do I call this on the river with 2 pair for such a little raise compared to the pot or do i just check/call river or check/fold?

I honsetly don't know if you can squeeze out a call here. This should usually be a flush. However, this hand was played so strangely on the earlier streets, that I probably might call with those odds, hoping to see lower two pair sometimes.

Fwiw I think you should have lead the turn.

Can you tell me why to lead the turn instead of check/raising?

because we don't know that villain will bet when we check. It checking behind on this drawy board would be a disaster for us. Partially because villain could be on a draw and we need to get value from that now (because we will not get value after he either misses it or hits it), but also because if villain has a holding he is willing to put in a bet with now, then we must not let a scare card fall. Turn is a fairly standard lead for value.
