Also he usually plays his hands more with pot control and I've never seem him overbet like this before. Also the chance that he has some kind of big draw is pretty small.
He either has a set or the nut straight here but I don't have a % range for this.

I actually folded here because I had no line for the river with scare cards that could fall on the river and felt like I would always get outplayed on the river here with him having position.

One of my first posts so I hope that I don't get ranted for being weak because I'm not.

You have multiple options and folding cannot be one of them. Villian thinks you are drawing and has top two or set most of the time.

1) Call and bet pot on blank river.
2) Raise big on turn to be called by his set.
3) Call and check raise blank river.

If river is a spade - Check call. If river makes a straight check call (as he may have have played a very strange top pair gutshot with poss fdraw on turn. If river pairs board, check/fold barring a read that he has top two or other.

Something about this line seems so weird. If he flopped the nut straight would he play it so fast? I think a set of 8s or 9s is most likely given his limp, maybe KKK if he likes to get tricky. It would take a lot for me to fold a straight here.

I definetely want to make a raise here. So many rivers kill your action or kills your hand. Im not going to worry about the nut str8 here, since there are many other hands, which you are ahead, that makes sence as well.

I like the fold. His play smells like QJ to me. T9 is possible, but would he bet so much on the turn with that hand when he can't stand a CR? TT, 99, 88 are all rendered unlikely by the fact that he limped UTG 6-handed; I think most players raise preflop with those hands.

The turn overbet is the key, especially if it's out of character for this player. I think you made a really good laydown.
