Is this a good river raise?
 

I'm not sure if I have to call this three-bet or not either. Due to uncertainty I just called it. My villain here is a loose player with normal post flop aggression/play.

ok thanks for the answer. I figured I was ahead of a lot of 2pairs. so am I supposed to fear the K? The 8 seems unlikely given the flop *peel*.

can you tell me a bit about why not to raise with respect to beating villain's two pairs? i just haven't understood that yet, sorry if i'm dense.

well if you can fold to a 3bet, raising is fine, but it seems unlikely that he's 3betting hands you beat on the river.

I flat call on the river, the re raise was not good and calling the 3 bet was worse. We all learn from these mistakes though, so good job with the post.

Well my guess is that you are ahead a ton on the river but that you wont be called by a lot of 2nd best hands and you will be raised by everything you are behind to with a hand that you really want to show down.
