Pei Wei sounds pretty good. There's one near me too. Thanks for the tip.

I can't believe that no one picked up on this.

Please elaborate.

Vyse, the poster that said "Thanks for the tip" doesn't tip. See his avatar and location, etc.

Fuddruckers experience for those who have never been:
Order at a counter, receive a pager thing and an empty drink cup. Go get your own drink and wait for the pager to buzz. When it does, walk up to the counter to get your food, head directly to fixins/condiment area to put stuff on your burger. Go eat, and leave the trash on the table.

I think the leaving the trash on the table is the main reason it's not fast food. That, and I don't think I've ever seen anyone order to-go (though I'm sure you can).

The ones out here - and I assume everywhere - you order prior to getting seated, so you stand in a line. Sort of like Pei Wei, actually. Your food is not taken to your table, they call out your number or name and you have to go get it. Which is fine because you'd be up anyway to dress up your burger.

fast food imo.

But you get food on real plates and eat with metal silverware. There's a busser/waiter-type guy who will offer to refill your drinks/bring you to-go boxes and will clean your mess when you leave. This guy usually gets a tip from most people IME. Still fast food?

Oops, I'm talking about Pei Wei here. See above for my Fuddrucker's comments.

I pretty much consider anything fast food where you can order your entire meal by saying a number.
