lower stakes HU NL not beatable?

I started to play some 100NL hu, and pple said its not beatable, because of the rake. Is that true? There are alot of idiots sitting in, an dif you got a edge you can easily destroy them.. So shouldnt that make up for it. And what about rakeback?

It's beatable despite the rake. Different sites have different rake structures though so take that into consideration. Ipoker caps rake at $1 HU while FTP caps it at $0.50. Still, you can make an argument for not playing HU unless you're rolled for NL400 or so.

Limit > not beatable
NL > beatable

If you're playing 50 or 100nl think of it this way.

150+ hands per table/hour
@ 50nl = 1 stack+, that has "disappeared"
@ 100nl = prolly 2/3 of a stack has "disappeared"

Do you have that kind of an edge on your competition ?

that is the question.

I don't pay anything close to $50 per 150 hands at 100NL. I don't know where you got those numbers from, but they're way off. According to PT's rake stats, (which are off for 6max but could be right for HU) I paid 4.60 in rake during a 160 hand session at one table yesterday.

Heads-Up: rake will be collected on "1-on-1" tables at a rate of $0.05 rake per $1.00 in the pot, up to a maximum of $0.50 rake per hand.

If you're very loose pf 50+ VPIP (like a lot of lower stakes HU players), raise + call + flop bet/call pretty much maxs out your rake at 100nl.

My figures are a bit over but not too far off.
