I am new to the table with not much for reads on villain. What is the story he is telling with that overbet on the river?

He's saying he has you beat. I think this is an easy fold.

EDIT: He either has a straight or a FH, possibly a J w/higher kicker (like JQ).

lol easy fold no reason to mess around...if the pot and your hand were bigger than it might be worth considering...sometimes you just have to weigh the outcomes and use common sense

Not a huge fan of turn bet, no one ever folds a 9 or T on that board since the 4 improved their hand and people like to call down, especially at these stakes.

IDK I like the turn bet because we have 15 outs (possibly 18) and he could really be calling the flop minbet w/ ATC. 2barrels I think gets a fold here enough and we have a huge draw which means will get more value out on the river.

I raise PF, dont let this guy in for cheap. I dont fire on the turn, no one is folding a 9 or 10 here. Fold the river.
