I remember seeing a fantasy football thread, but I am too lazy to look for it.

Are we doing this?

Or was it another Madtown Production which will never materialize?

The Madtown production was a fantasy football where we had the same sort of team each year. I'm all about doing another fantasy football this year even without Madtown Dynasty idea

I'll take charge if someone gives me a good time to run a draft. I was thinking of holding the draft Tuesday, Sept 4 the latest day possible yahoo allows for it. The question is what time would be good

Should we do a one day draft or one that takes a week or so and we just PM/post our picks?

Last year we did a live draft. Maybe 2 days before the first game is too soon though

I think we have 11, we should probably cap at 12. Unless people want to go 16, but that's too many imo.

True, 12's the magic number. But if we can get 16/18/20 should/could we have two leagues where the winning teams face off the last week of the year?

Yeah, something like this will work with 16 I think. 18 would be weird with two leagues of 9, but whatever.

Alright I've set up the league on yahoo, but in order to make sure people want to play, and to limit people who aren't poggers from joining i am not making the password public. PM me if you want the password. FWIW, everyone in the thread who has posted i consider a pogger. I set up the league to be the exact ruleset as the league last year which capped the team limit at 14. Also I am saving a spot for KM. I know she hasn't posted in the thread if she is in or not. But I think she might want to, and I like her more than the rest of you. Sorry.

The live draft is set at Aug 23 11:30 PM EDT. That was the earliest day I could make it and have the draft be at night. I know that is late so if you cannot make it you can still set a list of players you want to draft and yahoo will draft them automatically

Yup, all we need now is to finalize the moneys for those who want to do it and draft time. (10:30pm central at night? It's cool with me, just wondering how others like it)

Oh, Yahoo changed their scoring AFTER the POG league was formed. Are we using the old format or the new one?

I posted this in the group chat, but let me repost it here.
Would three week playoff system work better?

I was thinking top six, with the top two teams getting byes rather than top eight.

This rewards the top two teams, and opens up the field slightly

Also, with 13 weeks it allows us each to play every other team once. 14 weeks gives one person as a repeat.
