Re: KK get donked into on paired board flop... Help on all streets

Thanks for responses.

My reasoning:

Flop, I really thought he had a Q here. Villains who donk with flush draws tend to bet out very small. Here he bet half the pot, so it smelt like q10, QJ even QK and he was worried about the flush.

So I called to see what he would do on the turn.

TURN: Ah. Like probably the worst card and I still got action. And again he bets, almost looking for value. If I didn't have the Kh I;d prob fold this but with Kh I had outs to nut flush.

River: Once he bets here, I am for sure dead, right?

Maybe raising the flop is a good idea but if he calls my raise its going to be hard to determine if he is srawing or has the Q. Doesnt; caling get the most value?

I am kind of rambling but this donking thing throws me for loop.

fold turn or call turn AND river, depending on how you feel about him.

DO NOT call turn to fold a river blank

What can I beat on the river?

Everything you can beat on the turn also (besides 88). In other words: don't call turn only to make the flush (bad odds), but because you think you're good

I dont like this line of thinking... if you call turn you MUST call river... NO. The only thing I beat is a bluff. On turn I can call fro 2 reasons. One I am drawing to the nut flush with good implied odds or 2 to make a river play or hope for a river check.

Once villain bets river the only thing I beat is a bluff. And with an Ace and the hearts getting there (not to mention the pair board) the chance of a bluff is ridiculous. Why waste another $10?????

I raise the flop, fold to reraise. as played probably fold the turn, he probably had a flush draw or even had the Q.

people with AF of 1 dont bet the flop/turn/river on that board with air.

I feel like if he raises flop, he gets smoothcalled and villain just donks into him again, so I really think that accomplishes little. I think calling down here is best, but he probably has a Queen or a bluff here (bluff as in marginal hand).

I think the turn is a fold. There is so little you beat here, especially given his AF.

Having the K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on a four flush, paired board does NOT have good implied odds. He doesn't have the Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in his hand cause it's on the board. You only have bad reverse implied odds due to FH possibility.

I think his stack is too small to go with the hand on implied odds anyway. You have 2 outs to the nuts and his stack, AA and QQ are very unlikely for him here. A river heart could win the pot for you but it's doubtful he pays off on a board like that without at least the Jh. Folding turn is tough when the Ah comes but it's probably best. With full stacks I think it's a definite call but you still have to fold that river. You missed your draw and only beat a bluff from a weak player, not likely.
