Live 5/10: Nutz with outs to nutz. JTs

CO just sat, but he's old.

SB is a loose short stacker, who likes to see flops and turns.

UTG is new to the table.

CO: Can't see his stack, not real deep.
SB: <1k
UTG: >3.7k
Hero: 3.7k

Hero is UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

UTG calls, Hero Calls, CO calls, SB completes, BB checks. (and there is another caller or two).

Flop (~$60): Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG checks, Hero checks, CO bets $60, SB calls , BB folds (Bobbo's such a nit), UTG raises to $150, Hero ????

I would lead. As played 3bet flop.

Does c/ring a c/r ever get any action?

I was wondering the same thing...

Also given that we have position on the check/raiser, I'm wondering if we couldn't get more money in by calling here, then raising UTG's turn bet (or betting ourselves if he checks).

Fwiw, I don't think 3betting the flop is horrible, it just looks so damn strong to check/raise after someone has already check/raised. That's pretty much a monster 100% of the time and given this is a high flop, it's really unlikely you have a set. I honestly feel like you turn your cards face up when you do this.
