the expiration date will be printed on the front of your diamond card. standard is march of the following year (so everyone's card currently says 03/08). if you don't earn 10000 tier points by December 31st, you still keep Diamond until next march.

there is no differentiation between a regular Diamond card member and one who has DIAD. they are both the same exact cards and are treated exactly the same way.
