Multi-Tabling Questions

Multi-tablers,

Could you describe your "work stations" for me? (i.e. computer(s), monitor(s), mouse etc.)

I'm trying to figure out how you even view 16 tables simultaneously never mind play them. Numerous monitors (4 games x 4 screens)? Tiled? Cascaded? Full size? Mini? Do you use PokerTracker/HUD for all?

Tips to keep from timing out?

Thanks.

N00b, there are plenty of threads on this, just search.

Some cascade, some tile on a balla screen (Dell 30" for example), most PT/HUD if it does not lag too much.

Re: Multi-Tabling Questions

I have 3 20" dells. just this last week i rotated them vertical. I can now fit 6 tables per screen with no overlap, 8 per with a little overlap, and the table size is large enough I dont get noticable eye strain (I do with putting 9 tables per orinted regularly, combo of siting in a recliner (distance) and old eyes probably). I hate overlap so I generally do 6 tables on 2 moniter for 12 tables, and could do 3 more easily on the 3rd moniter. I generally just do 12 though and have lobby pt, pah et on the 3rd moniter.

@Newbie

Plays 22 SnG's on my 22" HP W2207.
Res: 1650 x 1050 (I Think)
Cascading them is easiest IMHO... yes use PT & AceHUD but almost only in the endgame together with SNG EGT

Re: Multi-Tabling Questions

I have a laptop (17" or so I think) and a 20" dell. I 12-16 table with all tables tiled on the 20" and just have lobby/AIM/itunes or whatever on the laptop screen. 12 tabled they are shrunken to midsize, 3 rows of 4 with a bit of overlap but I can see all my hands at all times. 16 tables is the smallest size, 4x4, and can also see all of my hands.

FWIW I wish I waited to get a 24" widescreen monitor instead, or if I didn't have a laptop I would get a second 20". If you plan on cascading you can pretty much use anything.

Dual 20" monitors. 12 table tile, 6 on the bottom halves of both screens on FT. 20table cascade on one side on the other monitor if I decide to play stars. If you're playing more than 12 tables cascading is best, because the actions are queued up so the the appropriate table pops up.

Where'd you get the charts from Scotty? They're look far more interesting than the screens for mine.
