raise preflop. after that, i play the same.

i don't see a spot where you have a choice between value and protection.

I like the river call. Going for overcalls is good, but more to the point, UTG+1 waking up on a card that would be a total brick if it didn't complete a BDFD is worrying.

*grunch*

I think u play very good cus if u are behind and u raise river then u knock out rest players and u win/lose 3BB.

When u just call then u have great chance that u will get at least CO call and possibly MP2 or even more at so big 5way river pot. Then when u call u loose probably 1BB and win about 3BB.

If my thinking is good here we can say "call for value" and "raise for value" dont have much sense.

well i just dont see how u could play the hand postflop any different, well played.

but for me ,preflop is a fold....i would of call with ATs but not unsuited because of exactly what happaned, too much caller and a raise behind u,i would agrea to raise it up preflop from mid but from utg+1 not for me...too much unknow

Urrr. Don't know about the flop call.

Protection? From what? the flush - there is no protecting your hand from a flush in this game, just get some value out of them.

i understand that you're a nit and all, but 20:2 with 4 outs to the nuts and good relative position == straightforward call.
