PS NL100: AK facing river CRAI from TAG
Hi, I just moved up to 100NL yesterday, first post here.
Villain in this hand is HoesMobil, not sure if he is 2+2, his stats are 19/12/1.7 over 215 and WTSD% of 21.43. There is one relevant history hand here: PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) SB ($107.35) BB ($131.35) Hero ($102) MP ($125.25) Button ($96) Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero raises to $4, 1 fold, Button calls $4, 2 folds. Flop: ($9.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets $5, Button calls $5. Turn: ($19.50) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets $12, Button calls $12. River: ($43.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets $40, Button raises to $75, Hero calls $35. Final Pot: $193.50 Results: Hero has Ac Qc (three of a kind, queens). Button has 4h 4s (full house, fours full of queens). Outcome: Button wins $193.50. The hand in question: PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) BB ($60) UTG ($195.50) Hero ($99.50) CO ($265.05) Button ($21.15) SB ($17.85) Preflop: Hero is MP with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. UTG raises to $3, Hero raises to $10, 1 fold, Button calls $10, 2 folds, UTG calls $7. Flop: ($31.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) UTG checks, Hero checks, Button checks. Turn: ($31.50) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) UTG checks, Hero checks, Button checks. River: ($31.50) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) UTG checks, Hero bets $20, Button folds, UTG raises to $185.5, Hero folds. This line was very weird to me in game, I just couldn't put him on a hand at all. So I basically thought that my hand looks exactly like AK and I'm pretty sure he knows this so he was letting me catch up on flop/turn, then he knows I will v-bet river and shoves with a set (which he can slowplay from previous hand). The only other thing I can think of is he also has AK and is trying to push me off the same hand. What do you put villain on and do you call river. Thanks. |

You're ahead just about never on this river. Well played.

Re: PS NL100: AK facing river CRAI from TAG
ya good fold, also your bet sizing is off in the first hand and the 3bet pre in the second hand, you need to bet closer to pot.

Re: PS NL100: AK facing river CRAI from TAG
raise more PF!
bet flop. river is whatever. you only lose to 99. he prob shoved you off a split |
Re: PS NL100: AK facing river CRAI from TAG
looks like 99 knowing you'll bet the K a decent amount of the time. I'd rather bet like 40% of the pot/3-bet here w/ 99 though.
