Correction: 2-4, A4s early, HU; Villain Loose/Tricky

I’m not proud to say it, but I really hate the Villain. He’s burned me pretty good a few times lately and I’m still feeling the nasty sting of it. I’ve been watching this loose, sometimes-passive-but-tricky pain in the ass for some time now. In the SB, I’ve seen him fold when the BB raises, raise QJs, raise 99, and play QTs and slowplay flopped trips with them. In the BB, I’ve seen him raise with A7, check with A6, and raise with A8 multi-way. Early, I’ve seen him raise 99 with no one in and limp with 88 and no one in. In the middle, I’ve seen him enter with A4 and no one in, pre-flop raise AA, limps with 97s with another opponent already in then call a raise from the BB, and limp in w A9 and no one in. Late, I’ve seen him limp with 86, limp with 98s and no one in, raise 88 on the button.
I’ve seen him cold call wiht AJ, call a pre-flop raise with A4, and slowplay trip QQ on the flop. I’ve also seen him slowplay QQ full of AA on the turn, through a c/r and river raise.

Don't post in early position.

Preflop is fine.

Bet that flop all day long.

I don't get your turn play at all. Just bet it.

It seems like you are being way too fancy here. If your hatred of villain is causing you to do weird/odd/things you wouldn't typically do, it is time to take a break, as you are exhibiting signs of tilt.

post in the CO. anything earlier is usually -EV.

as played i would fire the flop. we have the best hand alot and giving a better ace, a 6 outer or a hand like 33 a chance(albeit rare)to fold is great.

you hit on the turn. BET! when this guy bets the turn on a QQTA board after you've raised pf your hand is in significantly worse shape against his active distribution than it would be if he was calling.

as played on the river, i guess it's a fold. you didn't mention his bluffing anywhere in the profile. if he's capable of trying to fold out your chop then you should call. if he is capable of bluffing you shoudl call. but again, these aspects of his play weren't really discussed so the correct play is really dictated by his tendencies/capabilities.

part of the reason why checkraising this turn is going to be a mistake is because an ace makes up a lot of your range since you raised pf (even though you posted, he may not know this) so he *should* know this and yet he bets and calls your checkraise anyways. most of the time when you check this turn it is likely that it will just get checked through, so just bet.

given that you did c/r and he did call i would typically actually check this river because he either has an Ace or a diamond draw here. he will bet his aces and may bluff his missed draws.
