AAA in weird 4-way pot live
Playing in a 6-handed deep 1-2NL game UTG raises to $12. Comes to me on the button I have AcAh. The raiser hadn't been at the table for long but from what I had seen appeared to be loose and bad. The SB is tight and BB is loose. I smooth call $12 and both blinds call as well. Flop comes Ad3c5d. All 3 players check to me. Normally I'd bet here but all players seemed disinterested in the pot so I figured I'd check behind and disguise. Turn comes Th. SB checks BB leads $15 and UTG raises to 45. BB stack is $400 UTG $500 my stack $450. What's my line?

Re - raise preflop. Bet the flop. Raise now. Get some money in the pot please. Make it $130 and never fold.

Raise because they can easily be drawing, and cold calling will shut them down.
Seems like a really crappy spot to slowplay pre, as well. |
Re: AAA in weird 4-way pot live
LOOOL This is only a "weird" 4-way pot because you played it so hyper-passively. I can understand the cold call pre-flop, but you HAVE to bet the flop!!!

Re: AAA in weird 4-way pot live
I think you have to reraise preflop. But I think checking the flop may be OK. If they are not interested in the flop, that means none of them have a pair of aces and none have a flush draw (it can be easy to reliably determine this in live games). So let them catch up a little and try to win a little more. What is the point of building the pot if there is only a tiny chance that someone has or will make a big hand that you beat?

"loose and bad"
Reraise pre and discourage the blinds from tagging along and play the fish in a bloated pot with position and the pf nuts as opposed to some multiway trainwreck. |
